Location

Roam is a deeply personal space, a journey rather than a destination. We are an intimate 4 acres nestled into the lush terrain of Isla Solarte’s jungle canopy. Isla Solarte, a part of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, is 8km of pristine jungle in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, only a 5 minute boat ride from town.

GETTING THE TIMING RIGHT

TRAVELING WITH LESS STRESS

If your flight into Panama City's Tocumen Airport that lands before 2 PM you can make it to Bocas del Toro, on that same day flying via Albrook Airport. If your flight lands after 2PM the best plan is to spend a night in Panama City. We offer this as a suggestion to stress less and enjoy old city splendor more while on your trip! When flying into a different country, it's important to consider the time it might take to go through customs, retrieve your bags.

So, if your flight lands in Panama city at the Tocumen airport at 12 noon and you are taking the 3PM flight to Bocas del Toro, this should be no problem.  This gives you an hour to get through customs and two hours to get across the city, plenty of time. Giving yourself this time is critical, so be careful not to schedule your two flights too close together.

ONCE YOU LAND IN BOCAS DEL TORO

Just let us know your flight and arrival time in advance, and a driver will be waiting for you just outside the door with a sign that says, “ROAM Yoga and Wellness.” The taxi will bring you to our boat dock where our boat taxi will be waiting to take you to ROAM Retreat. We are so excited to welcome you to our little slice of the jungle.

ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY?

casco viejo in panama city2.jpg

What to do if you are arriving into Panama City late afternoon? Never fear, this is all just a part of your unique trip! You have the opportunity to enjoy the moment and take part in a completely different micro-adventure as you spend one night in the city. We recommend spending the night in the city’s most charismatic neighborhood, Casco Viejo. Casco Viejo is an enchanting melting pot of modern Panamanian flair with old world architecture. A simple google search will leave an array of travelers excited to explore the canal district, the gastronomic splendor, and the artistic candor of this 500 year old city.

A plethora of the city’s best restaurants are located in this neighborhood not to mention the best roof-top views.  We are happy to recommend our favorite hotels, restaurants, and yoga studios; but also consider the pleasure of letting yourself wander and allowing experience to unfold! Uber is widely used in Panama and there are no shortage of cabs. From any hotel in Casco Viejo you can get to the Albrook or National airport, where your Air Panama flight will take you to Bocas del Toro, in 15 min tops.
